A fine Martin Brothers antique stoneware tall vase with four panels of decoration to the main body each enclosing a bird amongst foliage. Martin London & Southall to the base along with the incised date mark 8.5.79. Superb Martin Brothers Stoneware Vase - Enclosed Panels With Bird & Foliage - c. A fine antique stoneware Martin Brothers vase of tall and slender shape. There are four panels to the main body each enclosing birds amongst foliage. To the base is the'R. Martin London and Southall' incised mark and an incised date mark - 8.5.79. In good antique condition - there is what appears to be a feint firing line running for approx 9cm from the top of one panel (the line does not extend above the panel), this is entirely underglaze and we believe is from manufacture - please see image three.
